The Lagging Defense Sector

Lower military spending put a big dent into yesterday’s GDP report. For investors, the defense sector has been a laggard. It was a market performer during 2008 and the first half of 2009. But for the last two-and-a-half years, the S&P 500 has left it in the dust.
