The Double Dip Scares of 2010 and 2011

Wall Street has a very short memory. For two consecutive summers (2010 and 2011), people were obsessed with the idea that the U.S. economy was about to fall into a double dip recession.

Of course, that never happened, but the fears were very real. Here’s a look at the Google Trends for “double dip recession.”
