Which Is Riskier?

Mitch Tuchman makes a good point about investing and risk (well, it’s Warren Buffett’s point, but still). If you ask most people, “which is riskier, stock or bonds?” they’ll usually say stocks. After all, stocks bounce up and down every day.

Now let’s look at the last 50 years. The dollar lost 87% of its value while stocks with dividends gained 11,196%.

In other words, leaving your money in cash is very, very risky.
