December Jobs Report

This morning’s jobs report shows the unemployment rate is still at a 50-year low.

Nonfarm payrolls rose by 145,000 (expectations for 160K).

The broader U-6 rate is 6.7% (lowest since at least 1994).

Average hourly earnings were up 2.9% in the past year.

The labor force participation rate is 63.2% (near the highest since 2013).
